From Humble Beginnings...

Over one hundred forty years ago, the people of this community were themselves the mission. The community was filling with new German immigrants who needed to be gathered as straying and lost sheep, needed to know that despite their sins Jesus had paid for them the price they could not pay, and needed to know that God wanted His love to impact their everyday lives.

...the seed is planted...

The Lutheran Church sent missionary pastors to gather and teach these people who had uprooted their entire lives to make a new start here, and St. Peter was formed from these new German immigrants. They watched God work among them, changing how they went about their everyday work in their families and communities, and how they raised their children.

...and begins to grow!

With their faith being carefully nurtured from generation to generation to generation, decendents of those first immigrants work alongside those whom God has brought to St. Peter since in furthering His work in the community. Together we still humbly admit that we are as helpless to rescue ourselves from sin as those who were here one hundred forty years ago. In gratefulness for the loving sacrifice Jesus made to save us, we truly desire to glorify Him in the work that He has planned in our everyday lives and in the everyday lives of those in our community.

Today...
We serve here side by side, so that through the people of St. Peter Lutheran Church this community continues to be a living, growing mission outpost where Jesus' love remains active in our hearts and steadily, day by day, renews and transforms the hearts and lives of everyday people.
